About Dimitri...

In 2005 Dimitri’s cult wrestling documentary, "Big Men; Bigger Dreams" screened on SBS and garnered both Dendy and AFI nominations as well as strong reviews.  In 2009 his short film "Dream What You Want" was a Tropfest finalist.  In the last year his One Day on Earth spot has been selected to be a part of the One Day on Earth feature film and his most recent short, The Road to Success (starring Don Hany)was selected for Flickerfest 2011, became a hit film on Vimeo and sold to territories across the world.  His current film, The Squirrel King, is a Tropfest finalist and will premiere at Tropfest 22.

Trained in Photography & Fine Art at RMIT & Deakin, Dimitri went on to study directing at the VCA school of film and Television.  After graduating he gained further experience as an assistant director, working on productions such as Babe, Dark City, Mission Impossible 2, Farscape, Underbelly and The Great Gatsby among many others.

Dimitri's extensive experience in big budget through to micro budget productions combined with his arts, photographic & commercial background means he is equipped with a comprehensive toolset that serves him well in today's ever changing landscape.

He is currently developing two feature projects and directing TVC’s while always seeking future collaborations and directing opportunities.
